Arkansas Tech University has been designated as a White House Healthy Campus in recognition of its efforts to educate uninsured students about the options within the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Outreach activities at Arkansas Tech included a program hosted by the ATU Health and Wellness Center and a social media campaign.
The OneTech information portal and www.arkansastechnews.com were also utilized to spread the word about registration deadlines during the open enrollment period, which ran through Jan. 31, 2017.
More than 350 universities and colleges across the United States participated in the 2016 White House Healthy Campus Challenge.
