Tech Museum Presents Lecture On Tech Architecture

The Arkansas Tech Museum will host a Series of Discovery Lecture on Tuesday, April 20, at 7 p.m. The lecture is entitled One Hundred Years of Archi-TECH-ture: Architecture, Arkansas Style, and the lecture will focus on various Arkansas Tech University buildings.

Graduate student Thomaz Snizek will present the Series of Discovery Lecture.  Snizek began working in the museum as an undergraduate student, and he will complete his masters degree in history from Tech this August.

Museum officials say the lecture will compliment several of the exhibits about Arkansas Tech history that are currently on display.

The museum galleries and store will be open beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, for those who wish to tour the facility prior to the 7 p.m. lecture.

The Arkansas Tech Museum is housed in the Techionery, which is located at the corner of Martin Luther King Drive and North El Paso Avenue on the Arkansas Tech campus.

The Tech Museum is open regular exhibit hours on Tuesday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.  To find out more about the lecture, contact the Tech Museum at 479-964-0831.
