Tech Loyalty Fund Begins Faculty and Staff Campaign

The Tech Loyalty Fund is once again raising support for Arkansas Tech University with the annual “Working and Giving Together” campaign for Tech faculty and staff.  The campaign runs through Friday, March 16, and all Tech employees are invited to take part.

This marks the seventh year for the campaign, and last year employees increased participation from 22% during the 2010 campaign to 31%.  Officials say they hope to see increased participation again this year.

Gifts to the Arkansas Tech University Foundation through the Tech Loyalty Fund help provide scholarships, academic and program enrichment, equipment, supplies and technology.  Officials say gifts to the loyalty fund can make an important difference where state funds fall short.

Gifts may be designated to the employee’s area of choice, including an academic department, academic scholarships, Tech Alumni Association, athletics or other programs.  Gifts without a specific designation are directed toward the university’s greatest need.

Faculty and staff will receive their campaign packet this week either by mail or from their department’s campaign ambassador.   Employee gifts can be made through payroll deduction or as a one-time gift and are charitable contributions for tax purposes.

Donors to the 2012 campaign will be invited to an appreciation breakfast later this spring.
