The Wonder Boys toppled then 21st-ranked Northeastern State University and then sixth-ranked Midwestern State University during a Thanksgiving weekend classic at Tucker Coliseum on Nov. 29-30. Since then, Arkansas Tech has suffered a 94-78 loss to East Central University on Dec. 7 and a 74-73 setback at Missouri Southern State University on Tuesday. Junior guard Bryson Fletcher has averaged 13.3 points per game over the last three contests for Arkansas Tech. He had a career-high 18 points at Missouri Southern on Tuesday. Arkansas Tech head coach Doug Karleskint played for Angelo State head coach Chris Beard when Beard was the head coach at Fort Scott Community College. About the Rams: Angelo State achieved its first national ranking since February 2009 this week when it entered the National Association of Basketball Coaches NCAA Division II top 25 at No. 22. The Rams are 10-0 for the first time in the history of their men’s basketball program. Angelo State leads the Lone Star Conference and ranks 11th in NCAA Division II in field goal percentage (.533). Senior forward Kenny Williams ranks among the LSC leaders in scoring (3rd, 18.3 points per game) and rebounding (T-3rd, 8.7 per game).
