Tech Hosts Business After Hours

Numerous business leaders from across the Arkansas River Valley gathered at Arkansas Tech yesterday for Business After Hours.

The event, hosted by the Arkansas Tech University College of Business and the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, is designed to allow Chamber members to “exchange information, make business contacts, renew contacts, locate suppliers or customers, and announce changes, new products and services.”

During yesterday’s event, Chamber of Commerce members had the opportunity to sample food created by hospitality students at Arkansas Tech.

Student volunteers also gave tours of Rothwell Hall, home to both the College of Business and the Arkansas Small Business Technology Development Center, to those in attendance.

Organizers at Arkansas Tech said the event was a great way to promote the programs offered through the College of Business and the services provided by the ASBTDC.

The ASBTDC regional office serves nine counties in Arkansas including Conway, Crawford, Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Pope, Scott, Sebastian and Yell by offering a variety of services including consulting, training and market research.

Business After Hours is held the second Thursday of the month from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at different member businesses.
