Tech Family Helps Tsunami Victims

Members of the Arkansas Tech University community are helping to provide a brighter holiday season for children in areas impacted by the March 2011 tsunami that struck Japan. The Arkansas Tech family donated more than 100 holiday gifts that will be delivered to the Japanese cities of Rikuzentakata and Ofunato. Representatives from Arkansas Tech have conducted English language camps for children the past two summers in those cities and decided to host a toy drive to help the children this holiday season. The 2014 toy drive was hosted by the Office of Academic Affairs at Arkansas Tech. Learn more about the relationship between Arkansas Tech and the tsunami survivors in Japan.
