Tech Basketball Teams Ready for Postseason

Arkansas Tech University will pursue Great American Conference Tournament championships in women’s basketball and men’s basketball at Bruin Fieldhouse in Bartlesville, Okla., this week.

The Golden Suns (23-3), No. 2 seed in the women’s GAC Tournament, will face seventh-seeded East Central University (10-16) in a first-round game at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 1.

The Wonder Boys (18-10), No. 5 seed in the men’s GAC Tournament, drew No. 4 seed Southeastern Oklahoma State University (14-13) as their opening-round opponent. They will play at noon on Friday, March 2.

The GAC Tournament will continue with semifinal games on Saturday, March 3, and the championship games on Sunday, March 4.

All games involving Arkansas Tech teams at the GAC Tournament will be broadcast live on KCJC 102.3 FM and www.rivercountrykcjc.com. Additional live coverage will be available at www.arkansastechsports.com.
