Game Two: Tech 4, Augustana 3 Arkansas Tech held off a last-chance rally by Augustana to earn a 4-3 win in the series finale. An unearned run in the first inning, a two-run double by Ayers in the fifth inning and a Collin O’Neil sacrifice fly in the sixth inning staked the Wonder Boys to a 4-0 lead going to the seventh and final inning. The Vikings snapped a 14-inning scoreless drought when Jack Goihl hit a two-run home run to pull Augustana within 4-2. Kris Ashland followed with a solo shot over the fence in left center field, and it was a one-run game. Arkansas Tech closer Randy Vallejo plugged the leak by retiring the next three Viking hitters to end the game. Vallejo earned his fourth save of the season. Aaron Johnson (1-1) was the winning pitcher. He surrendered two runs on three hits over six innings. Johnson struck out six Augustana hitters.]]>
