Arkansas Tech University graduate Mike Williamson (photographed) is putting his degree from Arkansas Tech to use during a deployment with the Army National Guard.
Williamson, a 1998 graduate, was one of the first students to graduate with a degree in emergency management from Arkansas Tech.
He is currently serving as a flight medic in Kosovo, and this is the third time he has deployed with the Army National Guard. Williamson says his degree from Tech has been beneficial during his service in the Army National Guard.
Previously, he has also worked with the Pope County Emergency Service and Air Evac Life Team.
Williamson has two daughters who are students at Arkansas Tech. Hannah (photographed) is a junior nursing student at Arkansas Tech, while Rebekah is a freshman management and marketing student.
