Former Staff Member Named Coach of Decade

Former Arkansas Tech staff member Billy Dawson (photographed) has been named the Coach of the Decade by ArkansasVarsity.com

During his five-year tenure at Nashville High School, he led the Scrappers to three state championships and four conference titles.

Prior to working at Nashville High school, Dawson coached teams at both Sheridan and Siloam Springs.

He stepped down from coaching in 2009 to become a pastor at a local church in Nashville.

While at Arkansas Tech, Dawson served as the offensive coordinator on the Arkansas Tech coaching staff.
