More than 2,700 members of the Arkansas Tech community took advantage of the recent tax free weekend at the Tech Bookstore.
Bookstore officials say approximately 2,000 customers visited the store to purchase books and stock up on Tech merchandise.
Additionally, more than 700 book orders were placed online.
The Tech Bookstore was open extended hours over the weekend to accommodate those wishing to participate in the tax free weekend.
Customers saved 17 percent on book purchases after a matching discount and 15 percent on apparel.
