Taste of Germany at Fall Dinner Series

Flavors of Germany will highlight the menu for this week’s installment of the 2012 fall dinner series hosted by the Arkansas Tech University hospitality administration program.

Flavors of Germany will highlight the menu for this week’s installment of the 2012 fall dinner series hosted by the Arkansas Tech University hospitality administration program.

Reserved seating times for the meal are available from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, in the Williamson Hall Dining Room.

Cost for the meal will be $19.95 plus tax. All gratuities are invested in the Walters-Williams Scholarship.

Below are the menu items, with descriptions of each course as provided by the hospitality administration program:

  • German Fleischkueckle
    “German style deep fried dumplings filled with seasoned ground beef served with a balsamic reduction sauce”
  • Vichyssoise
    “A rich and creamy soup made from leeks, onions, potatoes and cream”
  • Pork Schnitzel
    “A German style pork cutlet served with pan fried German potato pancakes and vegetable medley with a mushroom port wine sauce”
  • Stout Ale Gingerbread Cake with a Cognac Butter Cream Frosting
    “A gingerbread cupcake infused with stout German ale and topped with a cognac butter cream frosting”
