A concert featuring the Arkansas Tech University Symphonic Band and the ATU Brass Choir and entitled “Places We Call Home” is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Witherspoon Auditorium.
The ATU Symphonic Band will perform “Origin” by Cait Nishimura, “Yorkshire Ballad” by James Barnes, “Zacatecas” by Genaro Codina, “The Cave You Fear” by Michael Markowski and “Songs of Old Kentucky” by Brant Karrick.
The ATU Brass Choir will play “Fanfare pour précéder La Péri” by Paul Dukas, “Die Meistersinger: Introduction to Act II” by Richard Wagner and “Toccata” by Aurelio Bonelli.
Dr. Jeff Bright, professor of music and head of the ATU Department of Music, will conduct the ATU Symphonic Band.
Dr. Erin Futterer, ATU instructor of music, will conduct the ATU Brass Choir.
