Southwestern Oklahoma State University defeated Arkansas Tech University 25-23, 25-15, 25-22 in Great American Conference volleyball at Weatherford, Okla., on Saturday afternoon.
Carly Zak had a match-high 19 kills for the Bulldogs (7-13 overall, 5-4 GAC).
With the loss, the Golden Suns (15-8, 7-2) dropped into a tie for first place in the GAC standings with Oklahoma Baptist University.
Arkansas Tech and Oklahoma Baptist will meet at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Friday, Oct. 21, with first place in the conference on the line. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. Admission will be free.
