Everyone strolling past Baswell Techionery was in for a treat today, as a jazz group played a surprise concert.
Members of the jazz ensemble gathered on the patio in front of Baswell Techionery and played a few tunes as students were walking to lunch.
The group of musicians was under the direction of Dr. Dayl Burnett.
Burnett was the principal trombonist for Opera Roanoke and the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra in Virginia for nearly 20 years.
