Suns’ Winning Streak Reaches 15 Matches

Arkansas Tech University earned a pair of non-conference volleyball victories at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Tuesday.

The Golden Suns (21-5) defeated Williams Baptist College 25-18, 19-25, 25-12, 25-18 on Tuesday afternoon. Later that evening, Arkansas Tech cruised past Bacone College 25-19, 25-14, 25-17.

Those victories allowed the Golden Suns to extend their winning streak to 15 matches.

Hunter Eshnaur led four Arkansas Tech players in double figures in kills against Williams Baptist. She notched 15 kills, while McCall Wilkins had 11 kills. Kaylee Konsella and Katie Huff made 10 kills apiece.

Sarita Stegall, the reigning Great American Conference setter of the week, collected 53 assists and 11 digs in the win over Williams Baptist. Madison Nagel was credited with 16 digs.

Eshnaur (15 kills), Alyssa Kool (38 assists) and Nagel (14 digs) were among the Golden Suns’ statistical leaders in their win over Bacone.

Arkansas Tech will host Henderson State University for a 6 p.m. GAC match at Tucker Coliseum on Thursday, Oct. 29. Admission will be free.
