Steady play by Great American Conference women’s golf player of the week Peerada Piddon lifted Arkansas Tech University to a third-place finish among 19 teams at the 2019 Barry University Invitational in Miami Shores, Fla.
The Golden Suns finished with a 54-hole team total of 875 on Monday and Tuesday. Tournament host Barry won the team title with a score of 862.
Piddon returned scores of 72-70-74 for a even-par total of 216. She finished tied for ninth in the individual standings.
Jacqueline Klemm (T-13th, 71-75-72-218), Sydney Staton (T-19th, 73-74-73-220), Pia Nunbhakdi (T-23rd, 73-69-79-221) and Mackenzie Douglas (T-71st, 74-80-81-235) also contributed to Tech’s top-three team finish.
The Golden Suns will participate in the Central Region Preview April 8-9 in Springfield, Mo.
