Arkansas Tech University won both games on Sunday and Henderson State University swept Monday’s doubleheader during a four-game Great American Conference softball series in Arkadelphia.
The Golden Suns (8-8 overall, 2-2 GAC) won by matching scores of 1-0 and 1-0 on Sunday.
Henderson State (8-8, 2-2) took Monday’s contests 8-6 and 4-1.
ATU pitcher Bailey Shaffer was named GAC pitcher of the week in recognition of her performance during the series. She pitched seven scoreless innings over the course of two days.
Arkansas Tech will return to action March 1-2 with a four-game GAC series against Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Okla.
