Arkansas Tech University had six runners post career-best times in the Little Rock Invitational cross country meet on Saturday.
Mary Simmons led the way for the Golden Suns, crossing the finish line in 19 minutes, 26.4 seconds 19:26.4 to finish 35th.
Shannon McLaughlin was the second-best finisher for Tech, putting together a personal-best time of 19:47.9 for a 39th place finish. The Golden Suns also received a personal-best time from Maria Valente, who crossed the finish line in 20:08.5 for a 48th place finish.
Logan Edwards, one week after breaking her career-best time at the Ozark Invitational, broke it again with a 50th-place time of 20:10.5.
Macy Burroughs and Megan Bradley each finished with career-best times of 20:32.5 and 20:42.7, Afia Abdus Samad completed the course in 21:30.1, and Adrianna Simmons closed out the Tech runners with a career-best time of 22:14.4.
The Golden Suns will compete in the Great American Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Monticello.
