Arkansas Tech University and Ouachita Baptist University split a rain-shortened two-game Great American Conference softball series at the Chartwells Women’s Sports Complex in Russellville on Saturday.
The Lady Tigers won game one 5-2, but the Golden Suns rebounded to take the nightcap 2-0.
Rain was the only winner on Sunday as both contests between Tech and OBU were cancelled.
Victoria Huie (5-5) pitched a two-hit shutout for Arkansas Tech in Saturday’s second game. She struck out seven.
Siarra Gomez and Maurie Lewis had one run batted in apiece for the Golden Suns in the victory.
Arkansas Tech will host Pittsburg State for a non-conference softball doubleheader at the Chartwells Complex on Tuesday, March 13. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
