Suns Extend Win Streak to 19 Matches

Three Golden Suns reached double figures in kills to lead nationally 18th-ranked Arkansas Tech University to a 25-23, 25-15, 25-12 Great American Conference volleyball victory over East Central University at the Kerr Activities Center in Ada, Okla., on Friday night.

Allie Anderson had 13 kills, Lexie Johnston made 12 kills and Tabitha Spray notched 10 kills to help the Golden Suns (19-0 overall, 6-0 GAC) continue the best start to a season in ATU volleyball history.

Tech’s Amanda Milnick recorded 33 assists and 11 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. It was her fourth double-double in the Suns’ last six matches.

Madison Nagel contributed 22 digs to Arkansas Tech’s cause, while Hunter Eshnaur finished with seven kills, three service aces and 13 digs.

The Golden Suns will face Southeastern Oklahoma State University for a 10 a.m. GAC match in Durant, Okla., on Saturday, Oct. 7.
