Suns Defeat Blossoms in Straight Sets

Nationally 10th-ranked Arkansas Tech University used a balanced offensive attack to defeat the University of Arkansas-Monticello Cotton Blossoms 25-17, 25-21, 25-20 at Steelman Fieldhouse in Monticello on Tuesday night.

The Golden Suns (29-0 overall, 13-0 Great American Conference) placed three players in double figures in kills. Hunter Eshnaur and Allie Anderson notched 12 kills apiece, while Tabitha Spray contributed 11 kills.

Amanda Milnick made 41 assists and Madison Nagel collected 17 digs to help ATU extend its school-record volleyball winning streak to 29 matches.

The Golden Suns remain one of two unbeaten teams in NCAA Division II volleyball this season. The other is California Baptist University.

Arkansas Tech will host Southern Arkansas University for a 6 p.m. GAC match at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Thursday, Nov. 2. Admission will be free.
