Officials are reporting increased enrollment for the summer II semester on the Ozark Campus of Arkansas Tech University. The unofficial head count stands at 375 students, up 130 students over a year ago.
Summer enrollment growth is mutually beneficial in that it allows students to graduate on a faster track which, in turn, creates more enrollment opportunities for other students seeking to complete a higher education.
Chief Student Officer, Richard Harris stated, “We are pleased that so many students have chosen to enroll in Summer II. Summer terms also are an excellent indicator for fall enrollment, which at this time looks very good.”
The summer enrollment growth reflects the concerted efforts of the nontraditional college student to accelerate completion of their degree requirements enabling them to be workforce ready, said Bruce Sikes, Chief Academic Officer. “We are happy in the continued enrollment growth and the development of additional course offerings for our summer sessions.”
