Sullins Named GSC West Player of the Week

Landon Sullins was named Gulf South Conference West Division baseball player of the week by the league office on Tuesday, March 29.

Sullins (photographed) was 2-for-5 with two runs scored in a non-conference game against Central Oklahoma on March 22, but he saved his best work for the weekend GSC series against Arkansas-Monticello.

The junior first baseman from Valley Springs blistered the Boll Weevils for 10 hits in 12 at-bats, a batting average of .833.

Sullins hit a home run, drove in five runs and scored six runs as the Wonder Boys (18-11 overall, 6-0 GSC) swept a three-game set from Arkansas-Monticello and moved into sole possession of first place in the GSC West Division.
