Students Compete in Miss Arkansas Tonight

 

Four Arkansas Tech students will be among the 44 women taking the stage tonight when the preliminary competition begins at the 2010 Miss Arkansas Pageant.

The preliminary competition takes place three evenings, and each contestant participates in one phase of competition each evening.

Miss Arkansas Tech University Lindsey Ahrens will compete this evening in the evening gown portion of the competition, and she will also participate in the on-stage question.  On Thursday, Ahrens will perform her talent before the judges, and she will take part in the lifestyle and fitness in swimsuit competition on Friday.

Arkansas Tech students Miss Lake Dardanelle Naomi Shure, Miss Arkansas Valley Hannah Williamson and Miss Ozark Highlands Mikayla Adair will compete this evening in the lifestyle and fitness in swimsuit competition.  The three will participate in the evening gown and on-stage question competition on Thursday, and they will each perform their talent entries on Friday.

The competition is taking place each evening at Summit Arena in Hot Springs.  For those unable to attend, the competition will be streamed online and may be accessed by clicking here.

During the 2010 Miss Arkansas Pageant, more than $74,000 in awards and scholarships will be awarded to the contestants.
