Several student leaders Arkansas Tech had the opportunity to learn more about their role as resident assistants and resident directors earlier this month.
Several student leaders Arkansas Tech had the opportunity to learn more about their role as resident assistants and resident directors earlier this month.
Twelve students from Arkansas Tech joined with students from Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma during the Southwest Association of College and University Housing Officers Conference for resident assistants.
The conference took place earlier this month in Weatherford, Oklahoma. The students attending had the opportunity to present on programs they have completed at Tech, and they were also able to hear about programs presented by other resident assistants throughout the region.
In addition to learning about programming, the students also had several opportunities to network with other resident assistants.
Organizers say the students attending the conference are putting together information about several programs to help other resident assistants develop programming, and several students saw programs they hope to host here at Tech.
