Students and Faculty Learn More About Emergency Management

Arkansas Tech University students and faculty from the Department of Emergency Management are in Orlando this week to attend the International Association of Emergency Managers conference.

 

Arkansas Tech University students and faculty from the Department of Emergency Management are in Orlando this week to attend the International Association of Emergency Managers conference.

According to their website, the IAEM conference “provides a forum for current trends and topics, information about the latest tools and technology in emergency management and homeland security.”

During the conference, students will be able to attend multiple sessions each day to learn about their chosen career, and they will also visit an expo featuring exhibitors and disaster preparedness suppliers demonstrating some of the latest technologies in emergency management.

In addition to learning more about industry trends, students will have the opportunity to network with current professionals and learn about potential internship and job opportunities.

In all, more than a dozen Arkansas Tech students and faculty are attending the conference.
