Student Organizations Host E-Waste Drive

Area community members will be able to safely recycle electronic equipment River Valley community will be able to safely recycle electronic equipment next month thanks to an event hosted by two Arkansas Tech student organizations. Enactus and the Computer Club will host an e-waste recycling drive on Thursday, March 13, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Pope County Fairgrounds. Those dropping of items should enter the fairgrounds near the Fairway Boulevard entrance. The goal of the drive is to assist community members in the safe disposal of old and unused electronic items. The following items will be collected for safe disposal:
  • Computers
  • Printers, Scanners
  • Digital Cameras
  • Stereos, A/V Equipment
  • Cell Phones, Telephones
  • VCRs, DVD, CD Players
Over the past few years of hosting the event, River Valley residents have safely disposed of more than five tons of electronic waste.
