Student Leaders Selected

GOLD page on theLink to nominate a student for leadership recognition from the GOLD Cabinet. The following students have been selected: Jennifer Brownfield Jennifer Brownfield was nominated for her work with the Anthropology Club. “Jennifer leads the club in their goal to educate the student body about the fascinating study of anthropology and sustainable food systems,” said her nominator. In her role as president of the club, she received funding from the GOLD Cabinet to attend The Southern Sustainable Agriculture Working Group Conference in Little Rock.  She has also worked throughout the Tech community to bring a speaker from Heifer International to campus. Jessica Pate Jessica Pate was nominated for her work with the Arkansas Tech Golden Girls. “She has really taken charge of the team this year, and her leadership skills are improving daily,” said her nominator.  “She continues to challenge her team members to make the overall team better.” In her role as captain, her nominator says she strives to be a positive example and ensure all initiatives are completed in a timely manner. Ashley Sharp Ashley Sharp was nominated for her work with Zeta Tau Alpha, where she serves as the director of sisterhood. “As a freshman, our chapter is so proud of her for going above and beyond,” said her nominator. “We recently held our sisterhood retreat, and it was fantastic.  Ashley has such a creative mind and really put her heart into this.” In addition to a love for her organization, her nominator says she also has a great passion for Arkansas Tech. Ellen Watts Ellen Watts was nominated for her work with Sigma Alpha Iota. “Ellen Watts took over the president position after our last president left,” said her nominator.  “She took the organization and completely tuned it around in less than a month.”  ]]>
