Student Leaders Recognized Tuesday Evening

Numerous Arkansas Tech students were honored for their leadership efforts Tuesday evening during the annual Student Leadership Recognition Gala. The annual recognition event honors those students who serve in a leadership capacity at Arkansas Tech. Susie Nicholson, vice president for Student Services and University Relations, said the opportunity to get involved on campus offers life-long opportunities for students. “Each year our students participate in a wealth of activities that empower them to grow, develop and eventually graduate from college,” said Nicholson. Student leaders from Greek Life, Residence Hall Association, Student Government Association, Student Activities Board, the Guiding Organization Leaders’ Development Cabinet, On Track, LEAD, Alternative Spring Break and the Tech Spirit Squads were honored. As part of the evening, the student leaders enjoyed musical performances from several students including Austin McCourt, Lindsey Triplett, Jordan Cole and Thomas Strahan.
