Arkansas Tech University student Jeannie Stone is the winner of the annual International Women’s Week essay contest. Stone will receive a $500 prize for her efforts. The topic for the 2015 contest was “How have your experiences at Arkansas Tech shaped your perception of diversity, and how will you use these experiences to inspire change in the community?” International Women’s Day has existed since 1908, and it has been celebrated on March 8 of each year since 1914.
