The Arkansas Tech International and Multicultural Student Services Office (IMSSO) are offering the program Global Connect again this year as a way to help international students settle into living in America.
Global Connect pairs an American student with an international student so that the international student can not only learn the American culture, but have a friend that will support them academically and socially as they make the adjustment.
The goals of Global Connect is to provide encouragement and support, make new friends, help understand and use the campus resources, and most importantly improve their English listening and speaking skills.
Global Connect mentors meet for one hour a week with their mentee to practice English communication skills.
