STEM Training at Arkansas Tech

Area teachers have been visiting Arkansas Tech University to prepare for offering science, technology, engineering and math courses in their schools.

The teachers have been taking part in Project Lead the Way training hosted by the Arkansas Tech Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Institute.

Project Lead the Way is a national non-profit program designed to increase the number of engineering and technology graduates in the United States.

Teachers taking part in the Arkansas Tech training are able to learn more about how to implement the content in their classroom, participate in the activities the students will be asked to complete and have opportunities to network with other teachers.

The STEM Institute is offering several training workshops throughout the summer.
