Arkansas Tech’s women’s golf team posted scores of 327 on both Monday and Tuesday to finish eighth among an 18-team field in the Drury University Fall Shootout at par-72 Silo Ridge Country Club in Bolivar, Mo.
Niki Possage led the Golden Suns with a 36-hole total of 159. Her rounds of 81 and 78 earned her a share of 14th place in the individual standings.
Rebecka Surtevall (T-18th, 78-82-160), Alyssia Duvall (T-44th, 81-86-167), Megan Jeffery (T-54th, 87-82-169) and Taylor Kline (T-62nd, 88-85-173) also contributed to the Golden Suns team score.
Megan Kelly of Arkansas Tech (T-68th, 87-89-176) competed as an individual.
California University of Pennsylvania won the Drury University Fall Shootout team championship with a 36-hole total of 609. California’s Dianne Luke (73-71-144) won the individual title.
The Golden Suns will next compete Sept. 19-20 in the Northeastern State Classic at Cherry Springs Golf Club in Tahlequah, Okla.
