Nominations for 2018 Arkansas Tech University Staff Senate elections will be accepted through 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19.
To nominate an eligible staff member who has indicated a willingness to serve, members of the campus community may submit the nominee’s name and the functional area they would represent to Tammy Guarino, ATU Staff Senate president, at tguarino@atu.edu.
Elections will take place Oct. 22-26. Electronic voting will be available through Blackboard. Paper ballots will be available in Browning Hall room 203.
Open positions include two senator-at-large spots as well as opportunities to represent the following functional areas:
- Registrar/Admissions/Advising Center
- Alumni/Advancement/Athletics/President’s Office
- Academic Affairs
- Student Affairs
- Facilities Management (two positions)
Full-time employees in non-supervisory roles are eligible for service on the ATU Staff Senate.
The following positions are not eligible to vote or serve:
- Part-time employees
- Vice presidents/members of executive council
- Deans, Associate or Assistant Deans
- Department heads, supervisors or those acting in that capacity
