SSS Students From Tech Earn Scholarships

Three Arkansas Tech University students in the Student Support Services (SSS) program have received scholarships to assist them in their studies.

Senior Mike Harris of Little Rock (photographed, left) is the 2016 recipient of the Arkansas TRIO Walter O. Mason Scholarship, while junior Esther White of North Little Rock (photographed, middle) earned the 2016 Robbie L. Lyle Scholarship.

Both of their scholarships are administered by the Arkansas Association of Student Assistance Programs.

Senior Aysia Jackson of Camden (photographed, right) received a 2016 Southwest Association of Student Assistance Programs Collegiate Scholarship.

Participants in the federally-funded TRIO Student Support Services program are low-income, first-generation college students and/or students with disabilities. These students receive individualized support to have the greatest chance of succeeding in college, including the search for college funding.
