Spring Forward This Weekend

The River Valley is home to many special non-profit organizations, and Arkansas Tech students are always welcome to volunteer with Area 17 Special Olympics.

Don’t forget! The Tech community will lose an hour of sleep this weekend in observance of Daylight Savings Time.

Everyone is reminded to set their clocks ahead one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, or before they go to bed on Saturday night.

Americans will be able to compensate for their missed hour of sleep on November 4, when the nation will return to Standard Time.

According to the NASA website, President George W. Bush signed a new energy bill in 2005 that would extend Daylight Savings Time by four weeks, beginning in 2007. Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 a.m. on the second Sunday of March each year.
