Spring Break 2013 Trip to Ireland Planned

Arkansas Tech University students can spend St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland and learn more about the Emerald Isle during a spring break Education First (EF) College Study Tour.

The spring break trip is being led by Jessica Culver, adjunct instructor in the Arkansas Tech Department of History and Political Science. The nine-day tour will begin on March 14, 2013, and conclude on March 22, 2013.

“The Arkansas Tech Department of History and Political Science has a long and successful history with EF tours, and I look forward to helping students make great memories in Ireland for 2013,” said Culver.

There will be an informational meeting on the Russellville campus of Arkansas Tech on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 4:30 p.m. Persons interested in attending the meeting are asked to meet at the offices of the Department of History and Political Science in Witherspoon Hall at that time.

Students at Arkansas Tech-Ozark Campus can attend an informational meeting about the Ireland spring break trip in Collegiate Center room 103 on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 4 p.m.

Anticipated stops during the trip include the Ring of Kerry, Blarney Castle and the Blarney Stone, Dublin, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and much more.
