The Arkansas Tech Student Government Association will host a special election today for the student body to vote on proposed amendments to the constitution.
The special election will be on Wednesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Hindsman Tower.
SGA President Roger Norman said if the proposed amendment is approved by the student body, it would allow for an increase in the time between spring elections and assumption of power by the newly elected officials.
“An increase in this time frame allows new officials to be mentored by current officers, and gives them sufficient time to plan for the upcoming school year,” Norman added.
