Solomon Promoted, Two Added to Staff

Susie Nicholson, vice president for student services and university relations at Arkansas Tech University, announced three personnel moves within the Office of Student Services on Monday.
 
Kevin Solomon (photographed, top) was promoted to associate dean for student success at Arkansas Tech, while Aubrey Holt (photographed, bottom left) was named coordinator of student life and Jamie Beck (photographed, bottom right) was appointed coordinator of Greek life. 

Solomon will oversee retention efforts, Greek life, intramural and recreational sports, student activities and orientation and student life programs within the Office of Student Services.

A member of the Arkansas Tech staff since 2005, Solomon previously served the Russellville campus as assistant director of housing and assistant dean of students.

Solomon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science from Southern Arkansas University and a Master of Science degree in counseling and college student personnel services from Oklahoma State University.

Holt will be responsible for student organizations, spirit squads and alcohol and drug education programs in the Office of Student Services.

She graduated from Arkansas Tech with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism and later added a Master of Arts degree with an emphasis in student affairs and higher education from Western Kentucky University.

Beck will work with the 12 sororities and fraternities at Arkansas Tech in her new role.

A graduate of Arkansas State University, Beck holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies. Beck is a past National Panhellenic Conference president at Arkansas State. She is currently finishing a Master of Education degree in higher education administrative leadership from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
