SNA Sends Easter Baskets for Children

The Arkansas Tech Student Nurses Association (SNA) is sending more than 100 Easter baskets to Main Street Mission for children to enjoy this weekend.

Members of SNA have been collecting contents and baskets for weeks to prepare them for children to have treats for Easter morning and a basket to hunt eggs.

Linda Buckholtz, advisor to the group, said the baskets will be delivered today. “We have been collecting basket items for a couple of weeks, along with items for the food pantry, and today we will take them to Main Street Mission for families to take with them as they collect food.”

The Student Nurses Association has a rich history of benevolence, as they organized several philanthropic projects for the River Valley. Recent projects include care packages for the troops, buying Christmas presents for families in need and participating in Race for the Cure.

SNA will soon be collecting items to send another round of care packages to troops serving overseas. Keep logging on to arkansastechnews.com for more information about that project.
