SNA Races for the Cure

A group of Arkansas Tech nursing students will be ditching their scrubs and donning their tennis shoes this weekend. Members of the Student Nursing Association (SNA) are participating in the 16th annual Susan G. Komen Arkansas Race for the Cure in Little Rock on October 16.

The SNA has participated in the race since 2004.

Kay Cox is an assistant professor of nursing and the team captain.  She says the SNA decided to walk in the race to “show our support for medical research, health care and our community.”

To find out more about the group, contact Chapter President Kelly Putnam at kputnam@atu.edu.
