Arkansas Tech University’s Austin Smith finished in the top 10 of the individual standings at the University of North Alabama Division II Spring Preview men’s golf tournament in Muscle Shoals, Ala., on Monday and Tuesday.
Smith fired rounds of 71-74-71 to finish with a 54-hole total of 216. He tied for 10th among a field of 95 players.
The Wonder Boys finished 11th among 18 teams with a 54-hole score of 891. Lee University won the team championship with a total of 854.
Luke Cornett (26th, 77-73-70-220), Jonathan Echberg (T-40th, 81-70-74-225), Shawn Tsai (T-70th, 77-80-74-231) and Jay Trusty (T-88th, 87-79-78-244) also contributed to Arkansas Tech’s team score. Tech’s Putter Srinoon (T-36th, 77-71-76-224) competed as an individual.
The Wonder Boys will return to action on Monday, April 3, and Tuesday, April 4, at the Argonaut Cup in Pensacola, Fla.
