The Franklin County Single Parent Scholarship Committee recently presented scholarships to four students from the Ozark area.
Recipients are:
- Debra Bono of Ozark, a student at Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus received $750.00;
- Audra Phillips of Branch, a student at John Brown University received $750.00;
- Tammie Walthers of Ozark, a student at University of Arkansas Fort Smith received $375.00; and
- Cheryl Young of Ozark, a student of Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus received $750.00.
Dr. Jo Alice Blondin, chairman of the scholarship committee, said the scholarships for $750.00 are awarded to full-time students and the scholarship for $375.00 is a part-time student.
Serving with Dr. Blondin on the summer 2010 Single Parent Scholarship Committee are Harold Dickerson, Barbara Warden, Tony Wilson, and Alice Wood.
