Area high school students are learning more about preparing for college thanks to some Arkansas Tech students.
Tech students involved in Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) hosted a workshop at Dover High School recently to help students understand the application process for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Students wishing to receive federal financial aid in college are required to complete the FAFSA.
SIFE student Kayla New says members of SIFE presented “helpful information on applying for the FAFSA” and answered questions students had about the application process.
Several Dover High School students said they learned more about the FAFSA and about financial aid options to help make college more affordable.
New says she hopes the program encouraged the students to continue their education by attending college.
