SIFE Dedicated to Success

SIFE, or Students in Free Enterprise, is a student organization dedicated to leading business students to success.

The mission of the organization is “to bring together the top leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business.”

On campus since 2003, SIFE at Arkansas Tech is not only concerned with the business world. Philanthropy is of great importance to the organization. The group focuses projects on increasing awareness of diversity, helping students prepare for job interviews, and working for the community.

One community outreach project SIFE has coordinated during the past few years is teaching elders in the River Valley how to operate basic computer programs. President of SIFE, Lydia Grate, says that the program was such a success the first year and now it’s an expectation of the community.

She also says they plan to expand the computer classes to also provide training about cell phone operation.
