Dr. Tori Sharpe, Arkansas Tech University associate professor of English, was recognized as ATU faculty member of the month by ATU Faculty Senate on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Sharpe was cited by Dr. Carl Brucker, ATU Faculty Senate chair, for her work as Nebo literary magazine advisor in the ATU Department of English and World Languages, her publication of two poems in tier one journals in recent months, her leadership as Arkansas Governor’s School Area I coordinator and her selection as the recipient of the 2026 ATU College of Arts and Humanities Mentor Award for Distinguished Student Advising.
Winner of a 2026 individual artist fellowship from the Arkansas Arts Council, Sharpe has been a member of the ATU faculty since 2016.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the South, a Master of Arts degree from the University of Texas and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of North Texas.
Sharpe is the first ATU faculty member of the month selection for the 2026-27 academic year. The recognition program was initiated by ATU Faculty Senate during the 2025-26 academic year.
