Arkansas Tech University students have more opportunities to receive discounts from area merchants following a concerted effort by Student Government Association to add businesses to the program.
Through those efforts, there are now 31 merchants offering discounts for Arkansas Tech students with a valid Tech identification card.
“These businesses will have a decal on their window promoting the fact that they give discounts to students,” said Jayson Simmons, secretary of public relations for Arkansas Tech SGA. “The businesses that participated get a special page on the new SGA website dedicated to student discounts. Our student discount committee, headed up by Wyatt Norris, has done a great job with this and worked very hard. Thanks to them and to the businesses that agreed to partner with us, we can now give the students the full benefits of the student discount program.”
