Today is the deadline to turn in an application to run in the Fall 2011 Student Government Association election.
Applications may be picked up in the Office of Student Services on the second floor of the Doc Bryan Student Services Building.
There are several open positions in addition to three freshman senator spots, which are open tostudents with less than 30 hours.
Open positions include:
- Freshman Senator (3)
- Senior Senator
- Senator at Large
- Senator for the College of Natural Sciences
- Senator for the College of Applied Sciences
- Senator for the College of Business
- Senator for the College of Professional Studies and Community Outreach
- Senator for the College of Arts and Humanities
- Senator for the College of Education
- Senator for the Graduate College
Students have until 5 p.m. today to turn in an application, which includes a requirement of 2 signatures from their peers.
Elections will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Baswell Techionery, and students must present their Tech I.D. to vote.
Elected senators must be available to come to senate meetings at 12:15 p.m. each Wednesday.
