The National Weather Service has notified the public that severe thunderstorms are likely in Arkansas during the evening and overnight hours on Thursday, March 2.

Arkansas Tech University campuses in Russellville and Ozark are included in a region that faces a slight-to-enhanced risk for severe weather. Large hail, tornadoes and damaging straight line winds are all possible. The threat of flash flooding also exists with the possibility of 3-to-4 inches of rainfall overnight Thursday.

Parking in the lower elevation lots on North Glenwood Avenue on the ATU campus in Russellville will not be advisable during the evening and overnight hours on Thursday, March 2.
